Joel Adams

Joel Adams, American actor, teacher, director and playwright, with decades of experience teaching theatre to all ages, will conduct drama sessions throughout the workshop in a program called Play Per Week.

Mr. Adams studied theatre arts (acting and directing) at Baylor University Theatre in the USA and has participated in classical, modern, experimental, improvisational, mime, and forum theatre over the years. He has done productions with children and adults of all ages and, since being in Phuket, had founded the theatre group, Theatrix, which has produced The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Adapted), Romeo and Juliet, Mixed Up!, an evening of short comic plays for all ages, three interactive murder mysteries, Nadia and Noi, an interactive forum play, and evenings of improvisational comedy. As drama teacher at HeadStart International School he directed Mr. Scrooge Finds Christmas!, Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits, The Addams Family, and The Amazing Adventures of Super Stan.

Play Per Week will be a highly active, fun day of theatre games, exercises, and training, culminating in a theatrical presentation that the students will pull off in one or at the most two days! It will be truly a day to remember!
